The first step in the application process is a visit by the parent(s) to tour the school, have a thirty-minute in-class observation, and meet with the Director to learn about MCHS and the Montessori approach.
Applications are accepted throughout the year. (Preferably they should be submitted no later than January for the upcoming school year and letters of acceptance are then sent out in March.)
Upon acceptance, a $200.00 non-refundable registration fee is due to hold a space for a child. It is highly recommended that the parent come and observe in the classroom for which the child has been accepted.
Once the acceptance process is complete, a meeting between parent and guide will be scheduled.
The child will then meet his guide for a short one-on-one classroom opportunity.
All new students are required to attend an orientation which takes place the week before school starts in August.
MCHS accepts children during the course of the school year, if an opening occurs.
